Product Selection & Where to Buy
Why It Matter

This is a big one! If you’re investing in a high-end or luxury bathroom, it’s worth visiting a showroom rather than buying everything online. While you may pay a little more, the benefits far outweigh the extra cost.
A showroom experience gives you access to a dedicated designer who will not only create a layout that works for your space but also help you select the right products, materials, and colour schemes to achieve the perfect finish. You’ll also have the advantage of seeing products in real life, which makes a huge difference when comparing finishes, textures, and overall quality—something you simply can’t get from a website.
Another key benefit is hassle-free logistics. The showroom will take care of deliveries, store your products safely, and handle any damaged or incorrect items before they reach you. When buying online, you’re responsible for all of this, meaning you’ll have to check deliveries yourself, arrange returns, and potentially deal with delays, all of which can hold up your project.
That being said, installers—especially experienced ones—can offer valuable input into design and product selection, ensuring everything is practical as well as stylish. If you’re genuinely saving thousands by sourcing everything yourself, it might make sense to go the DIY route, but in most cases, the difference isn’t that significant, and the added stress, potential mistakes, and extra work simply aren’t worth it.
And let’s be honest—there’s nothing worse than having something installed only to realise it’s the wrong colour, doesn’t match, or the design just doesn’t work. At that point, fixing it can be costly and frustrating, so it pays to get it right from the start.
If you’re spending money on a premium bathroom, it makes sense to get it right the first time—choosing the right supplier can make all the difference in the final result.
